Medline’s Gemini 71-G Interleave Sterilisation Wrap offers an SSMMS wrap for wrapping heavyweight medical devices or instrument trays during sterilisation while providing proven high-level barrier protection against fluid and particles.
This surgical wrap can be used for sequential wrapping for sterilisation, boasting both multilayer technology and colour differentiation. Made with a unique SSMMS fabric, Gemini’s multiple strong layers resist tearing and punctures. Our pink and blue wraps are soft and fold easily because of Gemini’s extremely soft no-lint fabric, making each wrap simple to work with.
Additionally, each wrap’s weight is identifiable by way of colour differentiation (different shades of blue)—lightweight is light blue while heavyweight is dark blue. The dual colours can also be used to colour code different instruments or procedures, or differentiate hospital equipment from equipment on loan.
Finally, interleaved medical wraps have better adhesion properties than other SMS wraps and are compatible with sterilisation tape, ensuring that the wraps are completely closed. Gemini surgical wraps are compatible with all major sterilisation cycles, including pre-vacuum steam and gravity steam cycles, as well as ethylene oxide (EtO) and STERRAD® sterilisation.
