Silver nitrate has antimicrobial and cauterising properties that destroy unwanted tissue, making it an effective treatment option for warts and verrucae. The treated skin turns black as it dies and can then be carefully filed away with the emery board provided in the treatment pack.

• Silver nitrate chemically cauterises the skin, destroying unwanted tissue and helping to eliminate warts and verrucae.
• The treated area typically turns black as the skin dies, after which the dead tissue can be gently filed away using the emery board supplied.
• Before use, activate the pencil by swirling only the very tip in a single droplet of water for about 20 to 30 seconds, then apply that droplet to the treatment area without pressing on the tip.
• Avoid using too much water or pressure, as this can cause the pencil tip to break or dissolve.
• After each use, gently dry the pencil tip with a tissue to remove excess moisture and help prevent the tip from dissolving before the cap is replaced.
• If the pencil tip has disappeared, it has likely dissolved due to exposure to too much water or being stored while still wet.
