This hose tail will fit a standard Y or L tap, reducing the opening to accept a 5/8" beer line hose. The hose tail is made from food safe plastic, but in order to reduce the risk of tainting the ale, the hose tail should be cleaned and sanitised before it is attached to a barrel. A hop filter (sold separately) should be used as a gasket to prevent any leaks between the tap and the hose tail.
